Makes me wonder how.much power I'll be able to extract from mine as it made 223bhp on 10's

 

What would ideal WOT AFR's be on a daily driver car? 11.0-11.5?

 

11.5-11.8 at high rpm

 

I'm starting to wish I would have just left the car where was....200hp jcw tune and 330cc injectors. It was running right around 11.5-11.8 at WOT. Now with the 380cc injectors and the WMW tune it's running down around 10.5 at WOT. After all that money spent...the car really doesn't feel any faster...if anyone, maybe a little slower when the pedal is mashed. :sad:

Here are my AFR's at WOT in 3rd gear starting at 3000rpms and running up to 6500. This was BEFORE the 380cc injectors and Quick Tune flash.

 

You should get a tune from Jan, do it right first time

 

If I wasn't on the other side of the country I would. And to do a remote dyno tune is just too crazy expensive to mess with.

 

What about buying a Bytronic full access kit from 1320?

 

Fit a wideband and jan can do it

 

Yes....for around $750. After spending the money on the quick tune and having less than favorable results, I'm a little hesitant on spending more money on tuning..

 

It's not worth it to me to spend $750 just to tweak the fuel a little and get a few extra hp.....especially when it's busy a daily driver.

 

Lol $750 would more than cover travel expenses out there!

Tunes shouldn't be about gaining hp (it's a nice benefit) it's more about making the fuelling match your mods thus car is safer

 

The tune I have now is ok. It's safe....but on the overly rich side. It's not worth a cross country road trip just for a little more power......and that's what I would get by leaning the AFRs out a little bit.

 

Who are wmw and why don't people do there home work and use proper proven tuners like 1320 and Rmw. We are going to see more of this as the minis are getting so cheap it's going to become a help forum not a fun one lol

 

Way Motor Works (WMW) is pretty well known.....their Quick Tune flash was a cheap option ($255) to get my car good with the 380cc injectors. It's not a bad tune, its just a little on the rich side.....but for a canned tune I guess that's better than being lean. I was just surprised that my AFRs didn't change much, and that was the whole reason for getting a flash setup for the 380cc injectors.....because with the stock tune it was too rich. Well, its just as rich with the quick tune. Although, it does feel like its a little more peppy on the low end and mid range.

Fuelling looks like a stock map just leaner at the low end. I assume the blip at the beginning is where you changed gear?

 

I was cruising at 3000rpms in 3rd gear when I started the log, then I mashed the gas and held it until 6500rpms. I think that blip at the beginning is when when I went from cruise to WOT.
